Both revolvers are smaller pocket size about that of an 1849 Colt. Rev. A has the retailer stamp of John Munts of Amsterdam and was manufactured by J.E. Maintiendrai. The maker and retailer are stamped on top strap. The revolver was manufactured in Cheratte, Belgium. It is a five shot, double action, with a .38 bore and 3-1/4” octagon barrel. With checkered walnut grips, lanyard ring missing, serial No. 1142. Action is perfect, bore is near mint. Barrel and cylinder retain approximately 70% original factory blue. The frame is soft brown patina. Generous amounts of fire blue on small parts. Gun B: Manufactured in Belgium and is dealer stamped on the top strap, Edouard De Beaumont Roermond (Netherlands). This is a five shot, double action with a 3-1/4 octagon barrel, checkered walnut bird’s head grips and lanyard ring. Back strap has unit stamp (55), bore measures .38. Cylinder does not index. Bore is near mint. Grips are excellent. Revolver retains approximately 75% factory blue with minor age freckling. Interesting lot of two early dealer stamped Belgium antique revolvers.
