24” barrel in caliber .30-06. Barrel is dated 8-43 and is stamped “RA” with bomb. Typical early World War II issue. Two piece walnut stock with no finger grooves. Left side of stock is stamped “F.J.A.” for Frank Atwood with Ordnance wheel, as well as stamp “RA” for Remington Arms. Block “P” and circle on wrist. Other features include swept bolt with blued finish, 03-A3 rear sight. Receiver has 99% of the green tint military finish and about the same amount on barrel. 85% blue on bands and floorplate. All pressed parts. Has the checkered butt plate with smooth trap. Stock is excellent. ME reading of .5 with bright shiny bore. Perfect action. Comes with an original canvas sling.
