24" barrel in 7.92x57mm caliber. Manufactured in 1943 with a byf factory code (Mauser-Werke). This example has all matching numbers on frame, bolt, safety, bolt release, front band, trigger guard, and floorplate. No numbers stamped on wood, but does have Waffenamt stamp at wrist. Features full walnut stock with short forend, rear sight to 2,000 meters, hooded front sight, and Waffenamt stamp on barrel and frame. Carbine retains approximately 70% war-time factory blue finish (thinning). Fine bore and action. Very fine example of mid-war Nazi marked 98.
