22" barrel in .22 rimfire caliber. This rifle was manufactured in 1949. It is a standard version featuring the walnut stock with pistol grip, checkered steel buttplate, and no checkering on stock. Standard blue finish with sporting front and rear sights. Frame retains approximately 97% original factory blue with some minor thinning. Barrel retains approximately 95% original blue with light muzzle wear and a few thin spots. Legends are perfect. Trigger guard has high edge wear. Stock is very good to excellent with no cracks, but does have a few storage impressions. Strong clean bore. Fine action. This model loads through a tube in the buttplate with an insertion port on the right side of stock. The rifle is marked for a .22 LR cartridge while the period correct box is marked for the .22 short.
