20” barrel in .22 caliber. This is referred to as the Model 1899H Featherweight takedown rifle with straight grip, Savage logo black butt plate, perch belly stock, schnabel for-end, with full round barrel, blued finish, case colored lever, sporting front sight, rear sight with filler, and Lyman tang. Made in 1912. Barrel is a pleasing mix of blue soft gun metal patina. Frame retains approximately 80% original high polish blue finish, thinning on bottom and high edges. There is some engraving on the front receiver bridge, which has turned brown patina and hard to see. Generous amounts of case colors on lever. Wood is excellent and proud to metal with the usual dings and original finish. None of the usual dings found on the wrist of these rifles. Decent rifled bore. Brass cartridge counter on left side.
