24" barrel in .348 Winchester caliber. Offered is a first year production, 1936, long tang Model 71 deluxe lever action rifle. The deluxe guns features capped pistol grip checkered walnut stock with factory sling swivels. Standard features include full round barrel, half magazine, ramp front sight (no hood), flat top sporting rear sight, blued finish, and a checkered steel shotgun buttplate. The barrel and tube retain approximately 90% original factory blue finish with a few usual light storage marks. Nose cap and buttplate have turned patina. Frame retains approximately 85%-90% blue, thinning at base. Lever retains approximately 40% blue. Bolt retains nearly all of the original blue. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal, never refinished but an additional coat of varnish has been added. Left side of frame has scope rail mounted. Fine action. Strong clean bore.
