24" barrel in caliber .30-06. Manufactured in 1953. This Model 70 is standard in all respects. Has the blued finish, checkered walnut stock, straight comb, checkered steel buttplate, hooded ramp front sight. Rear sight removed. Sports a Redfield base with a P.O. Ackley 3x9x40 scope with standard cross hairs and perfect optics. All original finish. Barrel has some light muzzle wear. Frame is thinning just a bit. Bolt knob is gun metal grey. High edge wear on floor plate and trigger guard. Wood is very good to excellent with some flattening to the checkering. Sling swivels installed. Fine bore. Perfect action. Very nice rifle with a period hard to find scope.
