The Mills Novelty Company manufactured this floor model slot machine in 1898. The oak cabinet features recessed panels, carved wood owls and appliques, and a stunning cast iron relief of an owl standing on a quill with very clean paint. The lithographed playing wheel is a replacement and in beautiful condition behind glass. Below is the original beveled, reverse on glass panel that reads "The Owl", that has a moderate amount of paint loss. The cast iron 5 way coin head can accept up to five nickels at a time. A beautiful machine with an older replacement side door. Two keys are included.
