This scale boasts accuracy because it doesn't use any springs, and viewing the mechanism behind the glass, it is hard not to be impressed by the ingenuity. The cast iron body is painted black and white, while the face has been left in its original condition. It is a Style 8300 T and Serial No. 466719. Included is a copy of the June 28, 1958 Saturday Evening Post, the cover of which has a Norman Rockwell illustration including this exact kind of scale.
