Extremely rare (approximately 3-4 examples known). This floor model fortune teller features a donkey automaton within the lighted cabinet. Donkey turns the ship's helm to select a number that corresponds to the operator's fortune displayed on one of the two interior panels. Top marquee reads "Donkey Wonder Will Solve Your Problems." First produced in 1891 and electrified in 1910. Circa 1892. This rare example was included in the Gay Nineties Museum until the late 1970s. The Donkey figure has been redressed in newer, correct clothing. The missing 3 correct iron supports were added to the original base and painted to the correct color. Includes key.
