Full special order and custom built Ballard Arms from Onsted, Michigan Model 1885 with tapered round barrel with quarter rib with integral case colored quick release scope rings and mounted with a Leupold Vari-X 1 3-9X40 mm scope with 1" tube. Satin finished deluxe highly figured American walnut stocks with fine "H" pattern checkered forearm and pistol grip. Ebony forend cap with case colored pistol grip cap and fine checkered blue steel butt plate. Case colored lever and mounted with sling swivels. Rich deep blued finished barrel and receiver. The Ballard Arms company produces a number of custom rifles annually. A very faithful copy of the Winchester Model 1885 High Wall these rifles are known for there fine quality and craftsmanship. Fine as new. 99% of the blue finish remains on receiver and barrel. 98% of the case colors remain on the hammer lever and breech block, the only loss is a very slight drag line from operation of the action. The highly figured satin finished stocks are excellent with no signs of bruising or distress. A beautiful custom American made rifle. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
