Made in Suhl, this high quality well made gun exhibits typical Merkel quality. Made with solid rib matted top rib with brass front bead. Three piece forend is nicely checkered with engraved Deeley latch release. Coin finished reinforced action is nicely engraved with dogs in game scene on left, ducks in scene on right all surrounded by nicely executed scroll. Greener crossbolt, blued top lever and long tang trigger guard which is nicely scroll engraved. Straight grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern with beautiful flowing grain and terminates in a thin "SUHL" marked hard rubber buttplate Made with double triggers (front trigger articulated), ejectors, and non-auto safety. CONDITION: Extremely fine and near new. Retains nearly all original finish to both wood and metal with only minor handling marks. Absolutely a dandy little game gun - and in prime original condition.
