This a lot of four early wooden tobacco boxes. The first is Upman and Wilcox All-Nation Cigars, with the inside label showing Uncle Sam and other patron overlooking a tobacco field. The box shows signs of wear, with a partial tax stamp in complete and original condition. The second box is for Grand Republic Cigars, showing a picture of nice lady inside with George P. Wise & Co., the manufacturers for Grand Republic cigars. The box is complete, with a partial tax stamp, a factory label on the bottom, and embossing on all four sides and the lid. The next one is Silas Johnson Cigars, with a colorful paper label on one side, a maker's label on the bottom, partial tax stamp, embossing for Silas Johnson on the front, the top, and the left side. The inside graphic shows Silas Johnson playing cards with some of his friends and relatives. James Anthony was the maker in Richmond, VA. The fourth box is for Marksman Cigars. The inside label shows a hunter shooting at a target, which says "A perfect 5¢ cigar" on it. The box has a colorful label on one end, embossing on the top, the front, and the other side, and a partial tax stamp and a factory embossing on the bottom. All boxes are worn, with some stress marks and signs of age, areas of wear, but excellent wooden cigar boxes given their age.
