Barrel made without sights and with a single offset proof mark that is now illegible. Lock with a central "(Crown) / GR" stamped in center and a Crown proof under the pan. Stepped tail of lock stamped "TOWER". Classic captured swivel ramrod, brass nosecap, trigger guard, and buttcap of the New Land Pattern pistols. Indistinct stampings on left side of stock behind sideplate and offset at wrist. CONDITION: Very good. Metal has been cleaned to a bright steel over old oxidation. Wood stocks are very good with some normal marks and wear on left side, one piece of wood lifting on right side near buttplate. One masterful splice repair at ramrod channel mouth. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with smooth even oxidation throughout. EW
