Colt Single Action Army revolver. Made 1909. Barrel is marked "COLTS PT. F.A. MFG Co/HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A." on the top. Standard patent dates on the left side of the frame with a rampant Colt pony emblem. Round steel barrel with blade front sight. Original blued finish has been heavily cleaned and polished to bare metal in most places. Sambar stag grips. Serials on the frame, trigger guard and butt all match. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with signs of heavy cleaning and polishing. Grips are very good with minor handling marks. Lightly frosted bore with sharp rifling left. Mechanically fine. Hammer and cylinder are tight. JWA
