A rare reverse painted aquarium lamp by Handel. The trapezoidal shade depicts an aquarium scene of fish swimming in blue water amidst varied vegetation in greens, blues, browns and pinks. The outside of the shade has a pebble-like texture. One of the large panels has been cracked and professionally repaired. Additionally, several of the rods of the metal frame at the top of the shade have been resoldered. The shade measures 18 - 1/2” long and 9” across. The shade rests on a Handel mermaid base, with the mermaid holding a clam shell. The base has two sockets with chain pulls, and is finished in a chocolatey-brown patina. Base includes a green glass finial. The base measures 23” to the top of the finial and is in excellent condition with minimal loss to finish, and a few minor scratches. Underside of base has Handel cloth tag.

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
