Very rare, complete example of a bronze patinated gimble candlestick by Tiffany Studios. This beautiful candlestick features a patinated bronze gimble candlestick which sits on four favrile glass balls. The candlestick retains the candleholder insert as well as the snuffer, which terminates in another favrile glass ball. This complete example is in excellent condition with a rich reddish-brown patina with minimal loss. No cracks or deformities to the favrile glass balls. The outside arm is signed "Tiffany Studios New York 1227". The favrile shade has a pulled feather design with iridescent feathers laid atop a frosted yellow background. The shade stands 3 - 1/4” tall and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, chips or repairs. It is numbered A303. Base is in excellent condition with a reddish-brown patina. Minimal loss of finish to vertical arm of candlestick. The favrile glass balls on the base, and on the tip of the snuffer are intact, free of any cracks or breaks. No cracks or deformities to the bronze frame. The shade is in excellent condition, free of any breaks, cracks, chips or repairs. A similar example is documented and photographed in "Tiffany Lamps & Metalware" by Alastair Duncan: ACC Art Books 2019 Chapter 8 pg. 411 fig. 1686.
