Measures 25 - 1/2" x 31 - 1/2" in frame with "ELEY" across the top, "SPORTING" and "MILITARY" one left and right sides, and "CARTRIDGES" across bottom. Approximately 55 shotshells, including 3 brass hulls and 4 cutaways showing stacking of shot, wads, and powder, in gauges ranging from 4 Bore to .360. Approximately 73 rounds for rifles in pistols, raging from .22 rimfire blanks all the way up to .450 Nitro Express. 4 tins of primer caps, 6 tins displaying shot sizes from 5 to 9. Components are artfully arranged around central "ELEY / AMMUNITION" with monogram. CONDITION: Excellent, with no signs of restoration. Board has some minor peeling at extremities but no punctures. Wooden frame is excellent with some chipping and rubs but lettering is clear, 1 minor crack at top left. Cartridges are excellent with some minor spots of age-related patina. This is a really lovely cartridge board ready to hang! PROVENANCE: From the collection of Nathan Posner, former owner of the San Francisco Gun Exchange and most recently on display at the Buffalo Bill Historical Museum of Cody, Wyoming. EW
