Circa 2017. A special custom ordered, built by hand 16 gauge double hammergun with 30" barrels with extractors and 2 - 3/4" chambers. Barrels have been built with a matte concave game rib which has a round brass front bead sight. Top of left barrel reads "KRIEGHOFF" "MADE IN GERMANY". Bottom of left barrel reads "KRIEGHOFF INT. OTTSVILLE PA". Bottom of right barrel bares serial number "1149" "DE 16/70". Barrel flats read "17,0" and the gun's appropriate German proof marks. The barrels are choked "MODIFIED AND IMPROVED CYLINDER". A beautifully case colored action with action flats engraved "KRIEGHOFF" and serial number "1149". The rebounding low sitting double hammers are built on a rounded frame with double gold washed triggers where front trigger is articulated. Bottom action is also case colored with "ESSENCIA" in gold. A case colored double rolled edged trigger guard protects the triggers and extends itself to a long bottom strap. The nicely figured smoky, fiddle backed European walnut stock is built with an English straight hand grip which is finely checkered. Stock is adorned with a gold oval for shield engraved "BRW". Buttstock has matched checkering and protected by a case colored skeleton plate. A matching forend with case colored hardware has an Anson styled push-button release. The gun travels in a "KRIEGHOFF" leather case with protective outer green canvas cover. Within the case is 16 gauge nickel-plated snap caps, cleaning supplies, and owner's manual. CONDITION: Fine. Barrels retain 99% original blue and bores are bright. Action is tight on face. Bottom tang screw has slightly backed itself off-center. Stock is good with some light usage indication. Forend is very good. Very nice gun... Will make for a great upland hunter. CP
