Built in 2016 this lovely chopper lumped 30" barreled game gun with 2 - 3/4" chambers is built with Holland & Holland's self-opening mechanism and fitted with ejectors and a shiny game concave tapered rib with a brass round front bead sight. Right barrel reads "GRULLA ARMAS SL EIBAR SPAIN" and left barrel reads "DOUBLE GUNS OF NASHVILLE CHATTANOOGA, TN 28GA 2 3/4". Bottoms of barrels are both stamped "14.0". Bottom of left barrel also stamped "Double Guns Nashville, TN". Jeweled barrel flats with Spanish proofs read "28-70" "3103 042 16" "ES" "1170" "CIP" over "S". Breech end of rib and muzzles with border scroll. Chokes are Modified and Improved Cylinder. The rounded brushed coin finished framed action is built as a seven-pin sidelock with cocking indicators, double triggers - front being articulated, set disk strikers, gas escape ports, and auto safe with "SAFE" in gold. Triggers are protected by a right hand rolled edged guard with long bottom strap. Bottom strap engraved "ROYAL" and with Celtic scroll. The silvery grey coin finished action is engraved with Grulla's version of Royal Celtic scroll on stippled ground. Action flats (watertable) are jeweled and engraved "3103 042 16" "28-70" and with Spanish proofs. Scroll also with disguised and nicely appointed mythical birds. Action bottom also engraved GRULLA ARMAS EIBAR" in banner ribbon. Top lever and safety slide also with matching engraving and checkered thumb pieces. The finely checkered exhibition grade European walnut stock has been adorned with tight fine line checkering on its English straight hand grip, gold oval for initials and diamond-shaped three-quarter checkering on its buttstock. The matching splinter forend has similar Celtic scroll engraving on its iron metal and escutcheon. The push-button forend release is checkered. Gun lives a lightweight toe under Grulla leather takedown case with "GRULLA" black and gold leather case label and canvas outer cover. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 99% original blue. Bores are shiny. Action is tight on face, ejectors are timed well and triggers feel crisp to pull. Stock and forend with minor handling marks most likely from storage. Excellent little game gun. CP
