Colt Model 1849 "Pocket Model" percussion 6-shot revolver in original Mahogany case with accessories made by Colt Firearms Company, New Haven, Connecticut in 1862. 6" blued octagon rifled barrel with Colt Hartford Address. 6 shot cylinder with visible stagecoach scene. Case hardened frame with "Colt's Patent" marking with Nickel-plated trigger guard and walnut single piece grip. Comes in period mahogany case with original felt lining with correct Brass "Eagle" flask, Colt "skin" cartridges, J. Goldmark Caps, original blued nipple wrench and Colt marked bullet mold. CONDITION: Gun is serial numbered "204986" which is marked on cylinder, frame, trigger guard, butt, barrel, and wedge. Barrel has 50% remaining blue with balance going to a silvery patina. Cylinder scene is crisp and very visible. 50% fading original case colors with 90% remaining nickel. 80% original varnish with some small handling dings and marks. Accessories are in good shape with case showing traces of original finish with some scuffs and dings with original key. Good bore and mechanics. A fine example of a Civil War Period Colt. DLM
