Kentucky Style rifle built in a style often attributed to makers from Virginia. Full octagon smoothbore barrel with rifle sights. Flint lock with no sideplate and double set trigger control. Full what looks to be cherry wood stock with brass hardware including Virginia style 4-petal flower finial patchbox with 5 piercings and engraved borders. Gun has iron nosepiece and comes with hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Metal has aged patina with evidence of heat near breech from reconversion to flint. Wood has repaired burnout around lock and is missing a sliver on right side of forestock. Wood has nice aged look with brass having been cleaned. DLM
