One of 2000 Browning Model 1886 lever action rifles manufactured by Miroku of Japan to commemorate the 1989 Montana state centennial. Standard .45-70 Government chambering, blued 26" octagon barrel, partridge front sight, buckhorn rear sight, and full length blued magazine tube. Nickel plated receiver engraved on right with gold filled "MONTANA 1889 1989" and "ONE OF 2000" in ribbons in addition to a gold filled grizzly bear with mountain scene. Left attractively engraved with partially gold filled Montana state seal and gold filled American bison in Montana state outline, in addition to "1889/1989" in ribbons. Stocked with checkered, highly figured walnut stocks with crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very good retaining nearly all of its factory applied metal finishes with a few marks. Stocks have some minor impressions throughout. Bright bore with strong rifling. Fine mechanics. BAS
