Single shot .22 rimfire derringer produced by an unknown manufacturer. Frame and barrel have been nickeled and finely engraved with foliate scrolls that feature nicely stippled backgrounds. Bottom of barrel is signed "W. B. Ellis" towards the muzzle. Only manufacturer stamping is the serial number beneath the left grip panel. Frame is mounted with a contemporary set of pearl 2-piece grips. Complete with an unmarked vintage wood case. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied nickel finish, showing few indications of wear and exhibiting scattered areas of pitting beneath the finish. Poor bore, exhibiting heavy pitting throughout. Grips show a few minor nicks, with a chip at the bottom of the right panel. Wood case retains the majority of its varnish, exhibiting some scattered handling and storage marks overall. Interior fabric liner shows age related discoloration. MLW
