Cloverleaf House Model single action revolver manufactured by Colt in during the Cloverleaf's first year of production in 1871. Top of barrel bears Colt's 2-line address. Features include a nickel finish, 3" barrel, blade front sight, frame notched rear sight, 4-shot cloverleaf style cylinder, as well as 2-piece smooth walnut grips. Barrel and frame are matching, with the grips matching via a hand-scribed number on the interior of the panels. Cylinder is numbered "1519", but is from the same year of production. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original nickel finish, exhibiting areas of flaking scattered all around that show through to brass and dark gray patina. Bore shows oxidation and good rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered handling and storage marks, as well as some loss to their varnish, but otherwise are sturdy and serviceable.
