Cabinet card of Phoebe Ann Moses, better known as "Annie Oakley" or "Little Miss Sure Shot". Born August 13, 1860 in Woodland Ohio. Annie spent 17 years traveling and performing the United States and Europe with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, becoming an international sensation. Sitting Bull gave her the Sioux name "Watanya Cicilla" translated as "Little Sure Shot". The cabinet card is by Gilbert Bacon, located at 820 Arch St. & 40 N. 8th St. Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Early image of Annie wearing a large sombrero, numerous shooting medals, and holding a Steven's "Tip-Up" single shot rifle. Accompanying the cabinet card are 2 amber glass "target balls" typical of the type Annie would have shot during her exhibitions. CONDITION: Cabinet card is excellent overall. Target balls are excellent showing no cracks or damage. MKS
