Lot consists of: (A) 1861 vintage Colt 1860 Army .44 caliber percussion revolver. 8" round barrel with 1-line New York address, German silver blade front sight, and hammer notch rear. Replacement condemned "C" marked rebated 6-shot cylinder with naval engagement scene. Recoil shield cut for shoulder stock and matching stele back strap. One-piece smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Fair. Even dark brown patina on steel components. Heavy wear with traces of cylinder scene visible. Front strap has spotted patina. Grips are worn with impressions and a loss at the left toe. Missing wedge screw. Shootable bore. Indexes correctly. (B) Second Model Whiney Navy revolver made in the early 1860s. Blued finish. 7-5/8" octagon barrel marked on top flat "E. WHITNEY/N.HAVEN" and with anchor stamp near breech. .36 caliber 6-shot cylinder and later style loading lever catch. Grips are 2-piece smooth walnut. CONDITION: Good. Traces of factory applied blued finish are retained with overall brown patina. Trigger guard has attractive mellow patina. Grips show hard use with splits, chips, and impressions. Good bore and mechanics. BAS
