Identified by the previous owner as having been made by Shuco, c. 1922. He is a one-piece black felt-covered body, with a white felt face to enable the assemblage of various features such as eyes, nose and mouth. It has two separately applied felt pointed ears. The eyes are glass in a googly manner, which looks like he is side glancing to his right, the nose is of a similar material but all black, and the mouth is a stitched piece of black felt with three areas of thread to simulate teeth. He is able to be a free-standing figure due to the position of the tail. When upright, the tail serves as a balance point to allow that feature. The condition is very good, considering age.
