November 5th & 6th 2016 Premier Firearms Sale

Also called shot concentrators, these interesting devices were patented and sold beginning in the mid-1870s by H.H. Schleber of Rochester, NY. They were designed to hold a shot pattern out to one of three distances: 50, 70, or 90 yards, this box being full of the 70 yard variety. Other than a split at the left end of the bottom, typical of these taped construction boxes, both box and label are exceptional as are the shot cases themselves.
[An interesting 1884 ad by the company displaying these cases is displayed on the International Ammunition Assoc website and may be searched using the following link: http://iaaforum.org/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=13721]
