December 16-17, 2017 Toy, Doll & Figural Cast Iron
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/16/2017
An unmarked fashion most likely manufactured by F.G. in the latter part of the 19th century. Overall the bisque is of fine quality (tiny pepper above left eyebrow) with cobalt blue paperweight eyes and a hint of a smile upon her lips. The strawberry blonde mohair wig appears to be original to the doll, antique underwear and boots, the fashion dress probably recreated in the 1950-1960's time period with currently some distress to the silk fabric. The bisque head/shoulder plate is affixed to the typical gusseted kid fashion body (not fully undressed to examine) which shows some light wear, however the body is strong and firm. Although the wig is glued tight the head and shoulder plate have been carefully inspected and appear to be free of any hairlines, eye chips, or damage. There is a minute red firing line at neck socket.
Item Dimensions: 16" T.
