Doll of exceptional quality incised “1358 Germany SIMON & HALBIG S & H 5”, brown glass sleep eyes, enameled upper eye brows, open mouth with red painted lips and four upper teeth, pierced ears with dangling hoop earrings, mounted on the original fully jointed wood and composition body, wearing a period black human hair wig and long curls, a purple, polka dotted, pleated cotton dress with lace trim and antique black leather shoes and well-coordinated stockings. She also has an antique wire rimmed glasses. She is in very good condition. The bisque painting is very even with only a minimal amount of very light wig pulls above the left ear. Both earring holes have minor color paint flakes but are not a distraction.
