Bronze sculpture bust of Napoleonic War era Carl Friedrich (1728-1811), the Grand Duke of Baden (one of the German states at that time). Consignor has provided a history of the Grand Duke, as well as the receipt from Alexander Auctions, from which this bronze was purchased. The bronze bust stands seven and a half inches tall and the base is a square two and a half inches. The sculptor was Jos. Kayser (1763-1820), who was Swiss and worked in Germany when he made this bronze in 1818. The Grand Duke can be easily research further. CONDITION: Overall very good. WZ
