1867-1894 MILLS PATENT CANVAS REVOLVER CARTRIDGE BELT WITH DOG HEAD BUCKLE HEAD BUCKLE.
This heavy canvas cartridge belt features the brass two piece clip buckle with the Mills patent dates on clip adjuster. The belt width is 2 1/2" and the loops allow for the .44/.45 cartridges. Canvas was often chosen due to the fact that the brass hulls would not develop verdigris. Belt measures about 38" in length. CONDITION: Very good to fine. All of the loops remain intact but there is some minor edge fraying in spots. This was a very popular western rig belt due to its durability even when wet.
