18" (46cm) bisque socket head French child, incised on the back of the head "E8D DÉPOSÉ." She has lovely bulbous blue paperweight threaded eyes, finely painted lashes and thick painted eyebrows, well-modeled upper lip with a bee-stung appearance, nicely shaded closed mouth and with pierced earlobes. She is on a fully-articulated French wood and composition body with mostly original finish in overall very good condition. Her clothing is a lilac silk and lace trimmed recreation in 1890s style and fabrics. The shoes are newer, but very good quality leather shoes of a similar color. The hat, which is velvet, lace and silk well-matches the remainder of the costume. The wig is antique brown mohair over a cork pate.
