Lot #1205:
1932 CADILLAC 355-B IMPERIAL LIMOUSINE.
This imposing Fisher-bodied seven-passenger Imperial Limousine is finished in cream with burgundy fenders and accents. Built on Cadillac’s 140-inch wheelbase, it features dual enclosed side mounts, wire wheels, wide whitewall tires, a Goddess radiator mascot, auxiliary lighting, dual horns and a rear luggage trunk. Power is supplied by Cadillac’s 353-cu.-in. L-head V-8, rated at 115 horsepower and paired with a three-speed synchromesh manual transmission. An extensive binder documents nearly $95,000 in mechanical restoration, refurbishment and detailing performed by Classic & Exotic Service during 2011–2012. Accompanying the Cadillac is a New York Certificate of Sale naming Alphonse Capone as purchaser through Rochelle Cadillac Co. of New Rochelle. The document bears a raised notarial seal and records engine and serial number 1201. Additional documentation includes service invoices, Cadillac-LaSalle and Fisher Body reference manuals, historical materials and keys.
CONDITION: Older restored condition with an attractive overall presentation. The paint exhibits minor imperfections and previous correction consistent with the restoration’s age. Exterior fittings and interior materials show age-appropriate wear. Minor cracks are visible in the passenger-side stained-glass panel but overall interior is in excellent condition. At the time of evaluation, the Cadillac starts up with ease and drives smoothly.
This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
