1958 Harley-Davidson XLH 900 Sportster Motorcycle in blue and white. The 1958 XLH was produced as a customer version of Harleys competition XLR. The XLH was basically an XL with XLR heads, though the castings were slightly different, and shorter reach spark plugs. Sportsters were not big sellers in 1958 with only 711 XLHs sold. The XLH originally sported full length fenders front and rear, and a larger fuel tank than its counter part the XLCH. Eventually the Sportster line would go on to be some of Harley-Davidsons best selling models and are still in production today.

This '58 XLH is as more of a resto-mod as it now presents as an XLCH with bobbed fenders and a peanut tank. It has also been retro fitted with a Bendix carb instead of the stock DC Linkert. Overall this motorcycle presents in very good condition, although it is not currently running. The engine has good compression and will assuredly run with some minor tune up work. The paint is in good condition with some minor blemishes, including a small area that has rippled at the rear of the fuel tank. This bike had proudly resided with the current owner for the past 37 years! Includes Pennsylvania title. Date of issue: 06-5-22-83. VIN: 58XLH2227.

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.

Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
