1959 ROLEX GMT-MASTER GILT BAKELITE "PEPSI ", REF. 6542 W/B&P

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 38mm GMT-Master, Reference 6542, in all stainless steel with original two-color red and blue bakelite bezel insert, tropical black gilt dial and roulette date wheel. Serial 426822. DOM 1958. Inner caseback marked "6542" and dated "IV.1958". Case presents as unpolished, showing moderate signs of wear consistent with age and use. Bakelite insert presents with a warm glossy surface, and has a few visible but completely stable cracks. Steel Oyster rivet bracelet marked "7206" with "58" ends, having a total of 12 links present. Clasp marked "ROLEX (inside coronet topped oval) SWISS MADE 2/55". Powered by Rolex's calibre 1030 automatic self-winding movement, marked "N824242". Watch is accompanied by it's original serialized chronometer certification card marked for "Bucherer, Paris", original serialized paper/foil hang tag and price tag, original GMT-Master foldout/booklet (1959 Copyright), and original inner box with watch support and "Use box for cigarettes..." insert card. Caseback engraved "Rev. John P. Gundersen" with a Messianic Star of David. Watch is in good running order, with all functions tested to be working properly.
