C. 1960. The Volkswagen Westfalia Camper was a conversion of the Volkswagen Type 2, sold from the early 1950s to 2003. Volkswagen subcontracted the modifications to the company Westfalia-Werke in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany. Standard equipment: various foldout seat arrangements for sleeping, birch plywood interior panels, laminated plywood cabinetry for storage, icebox or cold-box, sink, water storage and pump, electrical hookups, curtains, screened jalousie (Venetian blind) windows, and laminated folding table. Optional equipment includes top carrier, door table, various camping supplies, and top air vent. CONDITION: Showing a restoration of the exterior and interior for the 2004 St. Louis exposition. Odometer shows 6,598 miles. 4-cylinder with standard transmission. Running and roadworthy, with light wear and some faint surface scratches from storage. Garaged and sold as is, no title.
