In 1965 the Chevy Impala was totally redesigned with an “X” frame full width perimeter frame. Styled with fenders similar to the Corvette, the new body featured curved, frameless side glass, sharper angled windshield and fully redesigned front coil over suspension. The new Impala set an all time industry yearly sales record with more than 1 million units sold. This number still remains the industry sales benchmark. The Impala was available in 5 styles, 4 door sedan, 2 and 4 door hardtop, station wagon and convertible. Prices ranged from $2,670.00 to $3,760.00. A total of 243,114 convertible and coupe SS’s were built in 1965. The super sport had full wheel covers, full interior carpeting, front bucket seats, all vinyl trim, SS badging on door panels, and console with Rally clock. Other features included vacuum guage and Super Sport script on fenders and grille. Presented is a beautiful rust free Montana 1965 Chevy Impala SS convertible. Finished in artesian turquoise, it is complemented by its factory original white and aqua interior and white convertible top. It’s powered by the original matching numbers 327 cu in 300 hp engine, driven with hydramatic 3speed automatic transmission.
