Manufactured by General Merchandiser of Chicago, IL. in 1931, this model of Smilin' Sam From Alabam' is a highly sought after item as it is the black painted version. Complete with original lock and key. The tongue and lettering are in orange, complimenting the overall ink coating. Included with this item is an equally rare Beech-Nut Packing Company cast iron stand also originating from 1931. After inserting a penny, patron pulls the "gentleman's" tongue to receive a handful of peanuts. One key is provided. Fantastic piece overall.
