Coin-operated music box that has been seen in many versions. This one caries an original label for the Fairmount Music box Company in Hyde Park, New York. This music box has an eight-tune cylinder comb housed in an American-made quartered oak cabinet. To operate, simply deposit a penny into the slot and crank the handle on the side of the cabinet. Once the cylinder is sufficiently wound the melody will begin to play. Works nicely. Keys are included. Circa late 1800 to early 1900s.
