Offered is the earliest listed Wm. Malcolm rifle scope referred to as the Early Model Target Scope (1855-1880). This is the type of scope that was used during the Civil War by snipers on both sides of the conflict. It has the maker trade label in two places on the body which is a 3/4" tube, 3-20x (any power within this range was offered, no idea as to the strength of this lens), 33" in length. The mounts are later and not Malcolm made but will work just fine. CONDITION: The tube is basically a soft brown patina. Standard crosshairs with crystal clear optics. Very hard to find a scope of this era with clean lenses.

Item Dimensions: 33" x 3" x 2 - 1/2".
1ST MODEL WM MALCOLM 33" RIFLE SCOPE (1855-1880).
