A very pretty 21" (54cm) bisque socket head Bébé with blue paperweight eyes, closed mouth with full lips and dimple in chin, pierced ears, with head incised in back "E10D." Although other more commonly found doll marked "E10D" are made by Denamur, this one with the same letters was a design by Emile Douillet, with a commission to have been manufactured by Jumeau. She has Jumeau characteristics, but the shape of the face is different from any of those produced for Jumeau. It has a Jumeau-like fully-articulated wooden composition body, with mostly original finish other than a little repair on the hands, and wears a re-creation of an 1890s Jumeau Bébé with their typical floral print design with lace trim. She has antique leather Bébé Jumeau shoes, also marked "10," along with a rather elaborate but newer long, blonde mohair wig over antique cork pate.
