When looking at the base of this doll, one might automatically assume this is a Rabery & Delphieu - and perhaps she is - but her markings are "2" over a capital "B," with no marks on the body. If not an RD, perhaps it was made as a project for another company. Nevertheless, one can judge for oneself. She has very pretty huge grey-blue paperweight eyes, a tight smiling mouth and multi-stroke eyebrows, again typical of the RD types. She is on a fully-jointed wood and composition body, again very similar to RD. She wears a salmon pink silky dress with lavish lace overlay, a ribbon sash with a large cloth rose in front, antique black canvas shoes and a very nice blonde mohair wig over cork pate. She has some typical repaint on the body, mainly on the fingers.
