A 26" (66cm) classic Bébé, however with a most unusual look, as if she is staring at something and not sure what to make of what she is viewing. She has extraordinary blue-grey paperweight eyes, a closed mouth with pursed lips, pierced earlobes and a red stamp on the back of the head, reading "DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU Bte SGDG 12." She is mounted with a coil spring to the period French wood and composition body, fully-articulated. It is unmarked, although as we have noticed, there appears to be a very slight overall old repaint. As such, even if it is marked, it might have been covered up in the process. She has marked period brown leather French shoes with ribbon rosettes, impressed on the leather sole "DEPOSE JUMEAU 12." She has been elaborately costumed in a blueish-grey silk and lace dress, with rust-colored velvet jacket and matching hat, with big, pale orange ribbons at the midsection. The wig is antique brown human hair over cork pate, probably original.
