2ND VARIATION THICK WALL WINCHESTER MODEL 98 10 GA SALUTE CANNON
Serial number 397. This early second variation was produced from 1909 through 1958 featuring the beefed up construction. All steel and cast iron with "WRA CO. TRADE MARK REGISTERED IN USA" embossed on both side of carriage. The two wheels are also made of steel. The Winchester and 10 ga. legends are now located on both side of the high polish rust blue barrel. CONDITION: Fine. Carriage retains approximately 75% of its black enamel finish. Barrel still displays at least 80% of its bright blue finish but shows some scattered age freckles and spotting, primarily on the underside.
