Lot #2411:
39 STAR UNITED STATES FLAG.
Measures approximately 40" x 27 - 1/2". Rare 39-star American flag. 39 stars is an unofficial count due to the introduction of the former Dakota Territory as two sates at the same time, North Dakota (39) and South Dakota (40), since citizens anticipated a single state rather than two. The flag exhibits edge wear with staining throughout. Frayed corners and a few holes by the hoist. CONDITION: Fair.
Item Dimensions: 8" x 8"
