A classic early twentieth century countertop slot machine produced by Mills Novelty Company, c. 1903. As was the rage of the time, Mills employed the Palmer Cox Brownie figures into their machine. This particular machine has a fabulous engraved coin head depicting the Cox Brownies, with an additional detailed engraving of them on the back of the coin head, certainly eye-catching to a prospective player. The machine has had an older restoration with finish to the oak cabinet, and plating to the cast parts. This Brownie has a fantastic look and the engraved coin head is very detailed. It plays beautifully and has keys.
