To most collectors this particular machine would be the cornerstone of their collection! Highly regarded by most collectors, there were other payout machines prior to the creation of this machine, but none as complicated as this example. The Liberty Bell was the first three wheel or dial payout machine created by Charles Fey around 1898. It features an original black paint sheet metal and brass cabinet with applied Liberty Bell emblems on either side of the body. The original mint reels offer simple designs of the four playing card suits with the addition of a bell. The award card is original as well, with tax stamp and Charles Fey tokens. Play a nickel or one of the 5¢ Charles Fey trade checks or tokens provided to spin the reels and determine your payout. All original locks with one key. Very few of these are known to exist with this being a near perfect example. Nothing more can be said about this example, it is truly a museum quality piece. Works perfectly and has keys.
