AMMIE LEE’S LIKE LIVE LURE

Jacksonville, Florida resident Dr. Ammie L. Lee patented this great bait back in 1930. It is designed so that the fisherman could twitch the rod tip to activate the mechanical action of the bait, making the tail imitate the commotion of an injured baitfish. Finished in Rainbow with a cream-colored belly, green sides, and the belly and mechanical areas painted in red / orange. Few of these have survived, and they have become a favorite among Miscellaneous and Florida lure collectors. The mechanical motion is still intact and the bait grades Excellent Minus.
